As a youth pastor and a mom who has raised 3 young women, I highly recommend this book! I wish I had this relevant book in my arsenal.
This book gives hope and encouragement to our young women who struggle with self assurances and insecurities. It gives easy steps on how to give God all self, not just a piece of self. The author is writing from a vulnerable place of her experience as a young woman after God’s heart.
Sara Galvan –

I just finished reading The Star in You. I couldn’t put it down!! What a great book! Claire comes from a true place of humility. Her life’s story is a raw and real transparency of God’s faithfulness and that it’s ok to follow those dreams God has placed within you. It’s filled with encouragement to continue to follow The Star that’s within you offering practical applications and God’s Word as an outline to shine brightly in your life. I can recommend this book to girls and gals desiring to grow in their relationship with Christ. It’s a true life changer!

Ms. Claire adequately explains her life story and how she has learned to turn to God and His word, the Bible. In doing this, her life has unfolded with God’s hand on her and her dreams (goals) have come true and continue to do so. This is a powerful message!
The Star in You is an absolutely amazing book! From the introduction to the last chapter, it was a joy to read! There is no way that you’ll read this book, and not be uplifted. This is a great read for girls of all ages, from 9 to 99! A reminder that God has created each of us to shine like the STAR He has created us to be! In building a relationship with Him and spending time in His word, we can become that STAR.

The Star in You is such a great read! I love how relatable it is. Claire opens herself up to the realities of how we are so quick to criticize the outside when the inside is what truly matters. As she thoughtfully reminds the reader or their identity in Christ, she is helpful to explain how to find your own true identity through building your relationship with Christ. Throughout the pages, a young girl will learn about the importance of reading the Bible and building up their inside to shine bright on the outside.
Constance Bestwick –
Reading The STAR in You was a wonderful reminder of the Light, Love and Power that reside inside each of us. A book written to bring Hope to a demographic whom the world says a LOT of ugly things to: teen and young women, and with the flair that comes from an artist, Claire Lewis engages by having personal, intimate conversations, like with a friend. She speaks with life-building truths, calling it like it is – reminding the reader that she is a STAR.’

Your thought life is the key to your transformation.” – The Star In You
I strongly agree with the author’s statement on this. How we think of ourselves and of the world affects how we face the world before us. However, not all of us know how to start having positive and godly thoughts. Not all of us know where to find and fix our identity in. This being said, I find the book an answered prayer to many who are in search for identity, purpose, healing, transformation, redemption and restoration.
Its simple, easy-to-understand, conversational tone makes it effortless for the readers to grasp the message of hope and empowerment. The ample excerpts of experiences shared by the author also adds to allowing the reader to know and be comforted that they are not alone in their journeys of sadness, depression, loss, and what not. More than that, every concept and principle was firmly backed with bible verses which solidified the main message even more.
As a parent, I know this book will surely be a wonderful gift to ourselves and to our children. It is a good tool we can use for personal quiet time and study, or even as a devotional plan that the entire family can journey with together.
So if you are in need of answers to your questions about who you are, what your worth is, how you can be redeemed and how you can find your purpose anew, this book is definitely for you!

Discovering who you are as a young teenager and into adulthood is not an easy task. This book follows Claire Lewis on her journey of discovery and guides you on an encouraging path of uncovering what is inside you. The Star in You will help make you shine as an individual.
Shannon LaFreniere –
The author allows the reader to peer into her personal journey of discovering the unconditional love of the Father. The realization that a person’s worth is not determined by their outward appearance or personal popularity, but a prized possession uniquely created to express their love to the one who loved them first. From tragedy to triumph, the author builds the case that everyone has a distinct destiny and the awareness of your worth to God will cause you to shine like the star He created you to be.

First of all this book is amazing! I think adding the intro in was really needed. It gave me more of an understanding and had really good background stuff to lead up to what the chapters are about. As a young Christian teenager reading this that deals with a lot of the problems mentioned in “The Star In You”, it really helped open up my eyes. Especially letting me know that I have a worth in life. Overall this book has a lot of guides to help you find who you are in Jesus Crist our Lord and savoir.

Claire writes about how God impacted her life even with the challenges she faced in here teenage years, and how He used dancing to help her and minister to her through that. She helps you to know that your true worth and identity is really found in our creator. Claire allows herself to be vulnerable in this book with all of the things that made who she is today. As you will see God and dancing play a big role in that.
Me being someone who was a teenager not to long ago knows the struggles of self-worth, identity, and wanting to fit in very well at that age. Even now that I’m older, Claire helped remind me that not matter what the world throws at me to put my trust in my Heavenly Father and everything will be fine. I hope this book brings the same comfort and reassurance as it did for me.

I know from first hand experience what it means to go through identity issues and depression as a youth. I definitely recommend this book to any one who is facing these challenges. I found myself totally engrossed with every word written in this book and wondering to myself (at the age of 73) how my life might have taken a different turn had I’d read it during my early younger years. I strongly recommend this book as an important essential read for anyone who might find themselves challenged by having to raise a daughter in the current age in which we live. This is a must read for those who find themselves struggling with a clear understanding of their true identity or with the concept or realization of who they’ve actually been called to be. In her writings the author captures the essence (through scripture) as to what God says about who He has called us to be and the high value that He has placed on our lives.

I loved this book! I love the format and the content! And the way you opened yourself up to help other young girls see what could be possible! Left me with a great feeling.

Have you ever wondered why girls as young as elementary school see themselves as not being good enough? Never feeling pretty enough, smart enough, thin enough, tall enough, the list goes on…constantly comparing themselves to other girls, wishing to be them. Society with worldly views dictates all of these things leaving every little girl and woman alike feeling they just aren’t good enough! This fresh, new author, Claire Lewis, shares her story and how she broke free from this ideological thinking. This book is an easy read for all ages and can be a great way for a mother and daughter to bond to- gether as they grow close to GOD. GOD sees the star in all of us, after all we are made in His image.

This book a was an overall exciting read, I loved how Claire opened up to the reader about her personal journey through Christ. This book has really encouraged me to go deeper into the word and find myself and who I am in Christ! As a young girl myself, I believe every girl and woman deserves to read this book and discover their true selves.
Mutya Torres –
This book has been written with so much heart. I love how its message zeroes in on one’s true identity found in Jesus Christ, and how understanding that reality is so empowering for one to live in such freedom to be who they were made to be, and thus, shine! I love that Claire has written it with such honest vulnerability, sharing the personal struggles she has been given the grace to overcome, in order to inspire others to live a life free from striving! I believe this carries a crucial message to trumpet especially to a generation today that’s so consumed with a “me, myself, and I” mentality that’s highly influenced by social media. I pray that those who will pick up this book will not only enjoy finding themselves dancing along with the Master Choreographer of life, but more importantly, discovering the mystery of Christ who allows their light to shine brightly!
Yumi Wada –
Every girl needs to be assured and reassured of her true worth. This book is like having a big sister, kind neighbor, best friend, or little angel on your shoulder, speaking straight to your heart with clarity and simplicity, as well as with gentleness and kindness. Claire shares her honest and relevant stories of her own growing pains and makes herself accessible to her readers, no matter what age. She beautifully describes life through the metaphor of dance and effectively explains the body-soul-spirit connection in honoring our God – our ultimate Choreographer – through our lives. She balances her memoir with carefully chosen Scripture passages and basic catechesis about our Christian faith. She invites us to live our best life of holiness for the Lord and in so doing, actually makes holiness sound so cool! Claire is clearly one of God’s brightest stars! For certain, this book can win many stars back to illuminate alongside her in God’s open skies. Thank you, Claire, for gifting our young people with this book! I am so proud of you!

Wow, The Star in You is an amazing book for young women, really women of all ages. You can be 10 or 80 years young and benefit from the truths in this book. The world is attacking our young women and coming after their hearts and minds. The Star In You reminds you of Who you are and Whose you are. It reminds of of the Light of Christ in us. This is a great gift for a young lady in search of herself, or for someone who needs to be reminded of what is within them. I’m buying hard copies for the three young women I raised, and maybe a few more so that I have some on hand when the need arises.

This book is beyond belief!
Something I needed growing up.
This is definitely a book, that I will be gifting other girls in my family so they can find “the star” in them.
The author did not hold back, from the good, the bad or the ugly. Allowing transparency into her reality growing up. Allowing others to see that they are not alone and offering affirmations to get them through those struggles. Very well put together, and definitely something more people need to find “the star in you!”
Ruth Littler –
This book is inspiring and practical for any girl who is trying hard to fit in and yearns for approval. Claire shows how she overcame her struggles with low confidence, rejection and being bullied. This book encourages girls to see themselves as a star and believe they were born to shine brightly.
Becca Prensner –
“The Star in You” was such a refreshing read! Claire’s honesty on her personal experiences made me feel like I was just sitting with her at coffee hearing her story one-on-one. I could really feel that she cares about each and every one of her readers and desires to bring out the best in them! As I read the book, I could think of so many young girls who need to hear this message. “The Star in You” is filled with rich Scriptural truth that I wish I would have had the privilege to know at a younger age! Every girl who reads this book will truly be blessed and challenged to step deeper into her walk with the Lord!
Pam Marasigan –
This book is an easy-read and definitely not intimidating. It is simple, but it has depth and speaks to the heart. Certainly a book I loved reading, and recommend.
The book covers challenges of teenagers (maybe even a lot of us who are well beyond our teens) and how to win over them from a biblical perspective: insecurity, low self-esteem, comparing self to others, even being a victim of bullying.
As I was reading it, I could sense that the book was written by someone who climbed through a whole lot of mountains, braved storms, but instead of being stuck and exhausted, lives freely today and genuinely wants other women to experience the same freedom to be who they were made to be and shine from the inside-out. The book will help teenage girls to be more confident in who they were made to be, empower them to win their own wars, and inspire them to dream BIG dreams.
